So you end up having a constant WebSocket connection to their server (just like chat right now), and whenever you do something in the game, you send data to the server, the server processes your data and optionally sends a response back to you and others when you are in the same pool (chatroom for example). Only way to fully prevent cheaters is to store player data and manage everything server side. The developers do try tho, and they manually check for cheaters when they receive a report and then disable them from accessing these multiplayer features if the player indeed cheated. But as savefile / progress is stored locally, it can be altered in many different ways and that cannot be fully prevented sadly. This way you can play the game without an internet connection. Normally I would wait till I could offer more, but I'm hoping someone has a free slot they are not using and will give me a chance to become more useful over time. The problem exists because savefile / progress is stored locally. I'm at about 170 now, so if the fellowship even gives me half of that, I might even make 200 in the next day or so, which would be freaking awesome. I jumped about 30 levels from joining a guild that wasn't lvl 1 with just me and another person in it. I didn't feel like I could contribute to a fellowship since I don't have battlecry raised yet (Been really focusing on trying to get to 200 for a 5th character, getting my tier 2 and 3 equipment slots open etc), but I see how much of a difference a guild makes and I bet a fellowship matters as well.Īre there any fellowships out there with more then 1 other person (that is what is in mine right now) with an open slot for a newer player? I promise to raise my battlecry at least once a day till I get it up to a decent level (as long as I'm able to do that at least). I was going to wait till I got my battlecry up a decent amount before trying to join a fellowship, but I just found out how much a difference a good guild makes (I do all the guild quests every reset, so I feel I can contribute to the guild as much as others). Well I am just about done with my first week.
